Evil of the Dark Monastery
Author: Joseph Tedesco
System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter]
Category: Fantasy [filter]
Type: Scenario [filter]
In this adventure, the party is called upon by the council of a town that has suffered through a number of years of misfortune and natural disasters. Recently, unknown thieves robbed the town's treasury and fled in the night. The council informs the party that the thieves fled in the direction of an old monastery in the hills. They ask the party to venture to the monastery and find the town's gold. In the process of searching the monastery, the party can find that the monastery also contains the source of the town's bad luck. (Author's note: Though written for AD&D Second Edition, the adventure is fairly generic, and should be easily adapted.)

Category: Fantasy [filter]

A party is stranded at an inn during a winter blizzard - but something dark waits outside... and perhaps inside as well... Though some combat is likely, mostly in Section 2, the scenario relies more on reason, critical thinking and using clues to solve a fairly straight-forward puzzle which will help increase the chance of survival for the inn’s patrons.

Category: Fantasy [filter]
Type: Scenario [filter]
Introduction There is a town south of the Great Salt Marsh and east of the Haunted Lands in the Border Kingdom called Sfanol. The town is a place which welcomes renegade criminals of the southern Hyborian kingdoms and escaped slaves of the Hyperborean tribes but it does not let them leave. Any male who spent the night in Sfanol is subject to a lethal curse to be terribly unlucky. The curse is set by Nemra a corrupted priest of Mitra, former apprentice of Tsotha Lanti, who keeps the males inside the walled town for he is afraid that someone could get his hands on the ring of Queen Naluna. It is only with this ring that an armed hand can harm Nemra. The Baron of Sfanol, Lord Petruso is a puppet of Nemra. Although he runs the town as he like he is forced to ignore Nemra’s abductions of kids for his experiments, or corpses from the graveyard to satisfy his necrophilia, while rumors has it that the baron is the man behind this foul treachery. The baron though patiently waits for any strong traveler to come and hire him to venture past the Haunted lands into Eridu and retrieve the ring of Queen Naluna. Such is Demetrious the Corinthian, a criminal hunted by the heroes who, some days ahead, reach Sfanol and is immediately hired by the Baron to go to Eridu and steal the ring. When the party enters Sfanol will have some choices and depending on them and their role play actions might follow Demetrious to help him retrieve the ring, kill him to stop him acting in the name of the sorcerer, hunt him to just take his head price or just take part in a local rebellion situation. By the start of the adventure the players will find themselves in the middle of the headhunt. They where hired by a Nemedian judge of a frontier village close to Hanumar to hunt and kill Demetrius, the Corinthian murderer, for a handsome fee. Their searches lead them some miles south of the Border Kingdom where the adventure starts.

Drought
Author: Daniel Hodges
System: d20 Dungeons and Dragons [filter]
Category: Fantasy [filter]
Type: Scenario [filter]
After many dry dusty days bouncing across the scorched red wastes of the Kalandran plains, the caravan you are guarding finally reaches Wortten’s Grove. A large village on the banks of the Farris River, Wortten’s Grove has prospered for many years as a waystation for travelers crossing the arid plains between the cities of Ran-pur in the east and Halton in the west. Moving through the outskirts of the village you notice that the crops, almost ready for harvest, are untended and withering in the hot sun. Casting your eyes about you, you also see the network of irrigation ditches that criss-cross the farms are bone dry. Feelings of unease begin to grow inside you as moments later your caravan detours around a frail cow with distressed eyes gently trying to push her lifeless calf towards an empty water trough. As you approach an ancient looking bridge covered with Dwarven runes it becomes clear why the crops look withered. A muddy trickle is all that now remains of the Farris. What has become of the great river?

The 'Destroy Magic' Scrolls
Author: Lgaard
System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter]
Category: Fantasy [filter]
Type: Scenario [filter]
Long ago in ancient times the powerful magic formula was discovered. It can destroy the magic if used improperly. Find and secure the ancient artifact, otherwise the balance of the world is in danger. In order to succeed the mixture of investigator and diplomat skills is needed. Muscle and sword alone would not do.

Into the Warrens
Author: Jason Patterson (JP)
System: War Hammer [filter]
Category: Fantasy [filter]
Type: Scenario [filter]
This is intended to be a short "in between/one-shot" Warhammer FRP (old or new) scenario focusing on stopping someone from becoming a Ghoul, though with a slightly more Lovecraftian angle (pardon the pun). The document itself is 75k, and a few pages long, but there really isn't that much to the scenario itself, its very freeform and may result in the PCs taking a pass on the whole thing, buts its the first scenario I've written and put up anywhere public. Maybe someone will find it useful!
