This adventure is intended for a modern-day or near-future setting. It involves the players' search for some escaped lab animals with potentially deadly consequences for the citizenry. It is based on an actual story. Some years ago a group of research animals escaped from a hurricane-damaged lab in Florida; in that instance several died. Although the text states a monetary figure in dollars, the GM can of course substitute whatever system works for his/her campaign.
After a hard day's work, the townspeople have earned a peaceful slumber, but out in the forests, malevolent eyes are watching for just such a chance. Without warning, the evil has come upon you. You have to escape! Now!
The PCs are caught up in a deranged noble's plot to exact revenge on his cheating wife and her paramour by subjecting them to a manhunt on a jungle world.
